*National Science & Technology Week (NSTW) was one of NSF's main outreach efforts from 1985 through 1999. For one week each spring, NSTW involved students, teachers, parents, scientists, engineers and others in informal education activities. NSTW was succeeded by Find Out Why, a year-long outreach effort offering everyday science activities for families to do together.
