*New Zealand stamps have a long history of interesting innovations.
The first New Zealand stamps were issued in 1855, some 15 years after they were originally issued by the British and called 'Full Face Queens'. We were the first nation to trial advertising on stamps by printing them on the gummed side in 1893.
In modern times New Zealand Post continues its innovation with the introduction of its first non-denominated stamp - KiwiStamp. It holds its value and will always be worth the required postage of a Standard Post medium letter.
They're easy to understand and simple to use. You can also use multiple KiwiStamps on a range of letter sizes or to send letters by FastPost.
Inspirational as well as entertaining, they make a cheeky statement about our sense of identity, and show what this country has come to stand for in the past 170 years.
Whether you send one on an envelope or receive an envelope bearing one, they'll enrich the experience of letter-writing - an art that, in turn, enriches our lives and our world.
